CNC high-pressure cleaning is mainly applied to the precision cleaning of aluminum alloy housings for RF filters of 5G communication base stations. After CNC milling, such filter housings feature intricate and narrow structures including internal cavity runners, blind holes, threaded holes, counterbores, gaps and various special-shaped grooves, where cutting fluid, emulsified oil contamination, micron-scale aluminum powder and fine chips tend to accumulate and hide.
This cleaning process fits multiple process stages of filter cavities. First, it serves as the primary cleaning step right after CNC machining to remove freshly generated cutting residues and oil stains and prevent contaminants from drying and sticking firmly to the cavity surface. Second, it can be used as pre-treatment cleaning before surface processes such as anodizing, electroplating and passivation, avoiding coating defects like pinholes, peeling and poor adhesion caused by residual aluminum powder. Besides, it is applicable to secondary cleaning after semi-finished product rework and deburring, as well as final cleaning before product assembly. It ensures no loose impurities remain inside the cavity and prevents chips from falling onto sealing surfaces and resonant cavities during assembly, which would otherwise lead to RF performance failures such as deteriorated standing waves, spurious signals and intermodulation interference.
Applicable workpieces include macro base station filters, micro base station filters, pico base station filters, multi-channel combiner cavities, duplexer housings and other types of RF aluminum alloy cavity components. In terms of production modes, it supports continuous automatic inline cleaning for mass production of standard housings, as well as flexible production with multiple models, small batches and frequent product changeovers. It can adapt to different production layouts in RF component factories, including standalone production lines, integrated automatic lines and smart workshops.
For quality control scenarios, combined with cleanliness sampling inspection and particle size testing, it steadily meets the cleanliness specifications for RF components in the communications industry. Compared with traditional ultrasonic cleaning and manual brushing, it is especially suitable for challenging workpieces with deep blind holes, dense small holes and complex cavities that are hard to clean by conventional methods.
